Courses in the Rescue Training Program prepare emergency response personnel to perform rescue operations safely, efficiently and effectively. Rescue training courses range from certification and refresher courses in confined space rescue (CSR), high angle rescue, (heavy) vehicle and technical rescue courses to customized courses designed to meet a municipal specific training needs.

Successful candidates excel academically, demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills, establish professional behavior and perform strenuous physical work. Upon completion, cadets are eligible to earn IFSAC/ Proboard Certification in Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Hazardous Materials Operations and Industrial Fire Fighter. These courses are taught in compliance with NFPA Standards for firefighters.

These include NFPA 470 Hazardous Materials Standards for Responders, NFPA 1001 Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, NFPA 1021 Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications.

Programs provide training in areas from environmental health and safety regulations to oil spill response and dangerous goods removal. The HazMat training program provides the most advanced training and resources available through classroom and hands-on skills training. All classes can be customized to meet individual city or municipal, location or other client needs.

Certification and refresher programs include awareness, operations designed for industrial and oil & gas operations in accordance with NFPA 470 Hazardous Materials Standards for Responders.

Training begins with preparedness and coordination planning and progresses through incident response and on to recovery. Executive programs train fire and emergency service professionals about roles and responsibilities during disasters. Simulation-based training is available for incident management, jurisdictional crisis management training and multi-agency coordination.

Participants are immersed in a realistic environment to develop decision-making and incident management skills.

Training programs covers Fire Extinguisher and Fire Warden Training programs, Safety programs as well as Fire Investigation courses.

The Fire Officer Training Program combines the Fire Officer I, II, III, & IV courses, which meet NFPA 1021 training and certification requirements as well as the specific challenges of Fire Departments. After successfully learning to meet the challenges faced by both the Company and Command Officer, candidates are eligible for IFSAC/ Proboard testing and certification.

Pre-Requisites for Fire Officer I IFSAC/ Proboard Testing will be Firefighter I and II, Instructor I.
